Terraflora Daily Care Ingredients & Drug Interactions
by Enviromedica
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Terraflora Daily Care against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of Terraflora Daily Care by Enviromedica
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
Terraflora Daily Care contains 11 active ingredients centered on live beneficial bacteria and plant extracts. The probiotic strains include Bacillus coagulans, Bacillus subtilis, and Bacillus clausii, along with a proprietary Probiotic Bio-Complex blend.
You'll also find mushroom extracts (Reishi and Chaga), seaweed extracts (Bladderwrack and Wakame), Larch Arabinogalactan (a prebiotic fiber that feeds good bacteria), Humic Acids, and a Prebiotic Bio-Complex. The capsule itself is made with cellulose.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence for this product is mixed and incomplete. Bacillus coagulans is possibly effective for constipation and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), though it's not reliably proven for antibiotic-associated diarrhea, athletic performance, or cancer.
Bacillus subtilis shows possibly effective evidence for antibiotic-associated diarrhea specifically. For the other ingredients — Reishi, Chaga, and Larch Arabinogalactan — the data we hold shows insufficient evidence to rate their effectiveness for the conditions listed.
The plant extracts and prebiotics are still being studied, and we don't yet have solid proof they work for their intended uses.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
The probiotic bacteria in this product are generally well tolerated in healthy adults, though safety varies by strain and product quality. Bacillus subtilis has rare reports of headache and diarrhea in trials, and there are a few cases of serious infection (bacteremia and meningitis) in people with compromised immune systems or after very high consumption.
Reishi can cause dizziness, dry mouth, itching, nausea, rash, stomach upset, and respiratory allergy to its spores. Chaga has two reported cases of kidney failure and one of acute kidney injury from excessive consumption due to high oxalate levels.
Larch Arabinogalactan may cause bloating and gas. Overall, long-term safety data are limited across most ingredients, and you should talk with your doctor or pharmacist before starting, especially if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, severely ill, or have a weakened immune system.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking Terraflora Daily Care, double-check any antibiotics you're on — space them several hours away from this supplement. Also check blood pressure medications (antihypertensive drugs), blood thinners (anticoagulant/antiplatelet drugs), diabetes medications, and immunosuppressant drugs — all documented Moderate interactions.
Use the medication search tool on this page to verify your specific prescriptions.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This is a multi-ingredient probiotic and plant-extract supplement best suited for people looking to support digestive health with live bacteria, particularly if you have constipation or IBS. Terraflora Daily Care by Enviromedica Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Terraflora Daily Care by Enviromedica contains several ingredients with documented interactions with medications.
The most serious concern is with antibiotics: both Bacillus coagulans and Bacillus subtilis are live organisms that antibiotics can kill, which would reduce the effectiveness of the probiotic itself. You'll want to space out doses — take your antibiotic and this supplement several hours apart.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Reishi mushroom in this product interacts with blood pressure medications (antihypertensive drugs), blood thinners (anticoagulant/antiplatelet drugs), and diabetes medications — all at Moderate severity. It may lower blood pressure further, increase bleeding risk at higher doses, and theoretically add to the blood-sugar-lowering effect of diabetes drugs.
Chaga extract also carries Moderate interactions with blood thinners, immunosuppressant medications (drugs that weaken your immune system on purpose), and diabetes medications through similar mechanisms. Larch arabinogalactan may interfere with immunosuppressant therapy due to immune-stimulating properties.
Additionally, Humic Acids was checked and shows no documented interactions. We could not check Bacillus clausii, Ribospore, Bacillus megaterium EM144, Nova Scotian Bladderwrack Extract, or Patagonian Wakame Sporophyll Extract — no interaction data is on file for those ingredients.
Altogether, these interactions span 667 individual medications. Use the medication checker on this page to see if any of your prescriptions are affected.

For each ingredient in Terraflora Daily Care with known interactions, here are the types of medications they can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Reishi Fruiting Body Extract
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Theoretically, high doses of reishi mushroom might increase the risk of bleeding.
A dose of 1.5 grams daily of reishi mushroom does not seem to decrease platelet aggregation, but a higher dose of 3 grams daily does.
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, reishi mushroom might have additive effects with antidiabetes drugs.
Animal research suggests that reishi mushroom decreases blood sugar. However, in patients with type 2 diabetes, taking reishi mushroom does not reduce fasting glucose levels, and its effects on glycated hemoglobin are inconsistent.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, concurrent use of reishi mushroom with antihypertensive drugs might increase the risk of hypotension.
Reishi mushroom has shown hypotensive activity in animal research. Clinical evidence suggests that reishi mushroom reduces blood pressure in some, but not all, patients with hypertension.
Chaga Fruiting Body Extract, Wild-Harvested
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Theoretically, chaga may increase the risk of bleeding if used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
In vitro and animal research suggests that chaga extract can inhibit platelet aggregation. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, taking chaga with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Animal research suggests that chaga might decrease blood glucose levels and increase insulin levels. This has not been reported in humans.
Immunosuppressants
Theoretically, chaga might interfere with immunosuppressive therapy.
In vitro research suggests that certain constituents of chaga stimulate immune function. This has not been reported in humans.
Probiotic Bio-Complex
Antibiotic Drugs
Theoretically, taking Lactobacillus acidophilus with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of L. acidophilus.
L. acidophilus preparations usually contain live and active organisms. Therefore, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and L. acidophilus preparations by at least two hours.
Larch Arabinogalactan
Immunosuppressants
