TrueLife PB Ingredients & Drug Interactions
by NatureCity
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking TrueLife PB against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of TrueLife PB by NatureCity
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
TrueLife PB contains 7 active ingredients: five different Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium species (Lactobacillus casei LC-11, Lactobacillus paracasei LPC-37, Lactobacillus acidophilus LA-14, Lactobacillus rhamnosus LR-32, Lactobacillus plantarum LP-115, and Bifidobacterium animalis lactis BL-04), a prebiotic and probiotic blend, and Actazin, which is derived from kiwi. These are live-organism probiotics designed to support digestive health.
The capsule also contains inactive ingredients including hypromellose, gellan gum, silica, and stearic acid.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
Lactobacillus acidophilus is possibly effective for irritable bowel syndrome, Helicobacter pylori infection, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and bacterial vaginosis, though the evidence isn't definitive. It's rated possibly ineffective for atopic disease, and we don't have enough reliable evidence to rate it for acute respiratory distress syndrome.
For Actazin (kiwi), the data we hold rates it as insufficient evidence for asthma, constipation, hypertension, and irritable bowel syndrome — meaning it's not established whether it works for these uses.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Lactobacillus acidophilus is generally well tolerated in healthy adults and children. Oral probiotics can occasionally cause mild digestive side effects like abdominal discomfort, gas, bloating, or diarrhea, though these are uncommon.
Because L. acidophilus contains live organisms, there is a theoretical concern it could cause infection in vulnerable patients; most documented cases involved bacteria spreading from other body sites rather than the supplement alone. Kiwi is safe as a normal food, but concentrated kiwi supplements haven't been well studied.
Some people have kiwi allergies — symptoms can range from mouth itching and swelling to serious reactions like anaphylaxis or asthma flare-ups. There is insufficient data on this product during pregnancy and breastfeeding — talk with your doctor or pharmacist for personalized advice.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before starting TrueLife PB, double-check if you take antibiotics (the probiotic might be less effective if dosed simultaneously), antihypertensive drugs for blood pressure (risk of too-low blood pressure), or anticoagulants and antiplatelet drugs like warfarin or aspirin (increased bleeding risk from the kiwi extract). Use the medication checker on this page to verify your prescriptions.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
TrueLife PB is a multi-strain probiotic with kiwi extract that may support digestive health, though evidence for some uses is limited. If you take antibiotics, blood pressure medications, or blood thinners, you'll want to check with us first — the timing and potential interactions matter.
Anyone with a known kiwi allergy should avoid this product.

Formulation
Truelife PB - Promotes healthy intestinal function
Each TrueLife PB capsule is carefully manufactured to ensure the live cells are still active when you use the product. TrueLife PB capsules are individually sealed using a "nitrogen flush" process and double foil packaging. This helps protect the probiotics from moisture, light, and air which can destroy the live cells before you use the product. TrueLife PB uses special veggie DRcaps, a delayed release capsule that helps protect the probiotics from stomach acid.
Non GMO Gluten free Dairy free
Individually Sealed to Protect Live Probiotic Cells
Formula
TrueLife PB is a blend of live probiotic cells and prebiotic ingredients. Every vegetarian capsule is made with at least 30 billion live cells from 6 different probiotic strains. Plus, you get additional support from two potent natural prebiotics, fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS) from inulin and ACTAZIN, a premium New Zealand green kiwifruit ingredient.

TrueLife PB by NatureCity Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
TrueLife PB by NatureCity contains seven active ingredients, two of which we could not check for interactions.
The product does interact with medications. Lactobacillus acidophilus may reduce antibiotic effectiveness if the two are taken at the same time, since antibiotics can kill the live organisms in the probiotic — separating doses helps mitigate this Moderate interaction.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Actazin (derived from kiwi) presents two additional Moderate interactions. It may lower blood pressure further when combined with blood pressure medications (antihypertensives), raising the risk of low blood pressure (hypotension).
It also may increase bleeding risk when used with blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs like aspirin, warfarin, or clopidogrel.
We could not check three other ingredients — Lactobacillus casei, Lactobacillus paracasei, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, and Bifidobacterium animalis — because we hold no interaction data for them. Altogether, these interactions span 468 individual medications.
Please use the medication checker below to verify your specific prescriptions before starting.

Actazin
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Clinical research suggests that kiwi inhibits platelet aggregation. Theoretically, kiwi might increase the risk of bleeding when used with antiplatelet or anticoagulant drugs. Some anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs include aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix), dalteparin (Fragmin), enoxaparin (Lovenox), heparin, ticlopidine (Ticlid), warfarin (Coumadin), and others.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Clinical research suggests that consuming kiwi reduces systolic and diastolic blood pressure in hypertensive individuals. Theoretically, concomitant use of kiwi and antihypertensive drugs may increase the risk of hypotension when used in combination with drugs that lower blood pressure. These include captopril (Capoten), enalapril (Vasotec), losartan (Cozaar), valsartan (Diovan), diltiazem (Cardizem), amlodipine (Norvasc), hydrochlorothiazide (HydroDiuril), furosemide (Lasix), and many others.
Lactobacillus acidophilus LA-14
Antibiotic Drugs
Theoretically, taking Lactobacillus acidophilus with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of L. acidophilus.
L. acidophilus preparations usually contain live and active organisms. Therefore, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and L. acidophilus preparations by at least two hours.
