What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: coenzyme Q10 at 100 mg per tablet. Coenzyme Q10 is a naturally occurring compound found in cells throughout the body, where it plays a role in energy production and acts as an antioxidant.
The tablet also contains several inactive ingredients—mannitol, xylitol, crospovidone, vegetable magnesium stearate, silica, citric acid, and lemon flavor—which are fillers, binders, and flavoring agents to hold the tablet together and make it palatable.
Does it work?
Not established
The evidence for coenzyme Q10 is mixed depending on the condition. It's rated likely effective for correcting a coenzyme Q10 deficiency—which can occur in some people taking certain medications or with specific genetic conditions.
For fibromyalgia, migraine headache, congestive heart failure (weak heart pumping), and diabetic nerve damage, it's rated possibly effective, meaning there's some clinical promise but the research isn't conclusive. If you're considering it for one of these uses, talk it over with your doctor to see whether the evidence fits your situation.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Coenzyme Q10 is generally well tolerated by most adults when used as directed. In clinical trials, no serious adverse effects have been reported.
The most common side effects are mild gastrointestinal complaints—appetite suppression, diarrhea, stomach discomfort, heartburn, nausea, and vomiting—occurring in less than 1% of people; splitting doses above 100 mg may help minimize these. Headache, dizziness, insomnia, and rarely skin itching or rash have also been reported.
Regarding pregnancy, there isn't enough reliable safety data, so it's best to avoid it unless your doctor advises otherwise. Safety data while breastfeeding hasn't been well studied, so use caution and check with your doctor before taking it if you're nursing.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before you take this product, check with your doctor or pharmacist if you're on chemotherapy drugs (especially alkylating agents like cyclophosphamide)—coenzyme Q10 may reduce how well they work. If you take warfarin or another blood thinner, coenzyme Q10 might weaken its effect on your blood.
And if you're on any medication to lower blood pressure, coenzyme Q10 could add to that effect. Run your exact medications through the tool on this page to be sure.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Coenzyme Q10 may be worth considering if you have a documented deficiency, fibromyalgia, migraines, heart failure, or diabetic nerve pain—though the evidence is strongest for deficiency and more mixed for the others. Do not start this product if you take chemotherapy drugs, warfarin, or blood pressure medications without checking first with your own doctor or pharmacist, as it interacts with all three categories.
It's generally easy on the stomach at this 100 mg dose, but talk it over with your healthcare provider before you start.

Vegan Coenzyme Q10 100 mg by DEVA Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
DEVA's Vegan Coenzyme Q10 100 mg interacts with chemotherapy drugs, blood thinners, and blood pressure medications through its single active ingredient, coenzyme Q10.
The most serious concern is with alkylating chemotherapy agents (such as cyclophosphamide)—coenzyme Q10's antioxidant effect may theoretically shield tumor cells from the free-radical damage these drugs rely on to work, which is a Moderate-severity risk.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Coenzyme Q10 also poses a Moderate concern with warfarin (a blood thinner), as it's chemically similar to vitamin K and might reduce warfarin's blood-thinning effects. Four cases of decreased warfarin effectiveness attributed to coenzyme Q10 have been reported in the literature.
Additionally, coenzyme Q10 may have Minor additive blood pressure-lowering effects if you're already taking medications to lower blood pressure, though the evidence from studies is mixed.
Alone among its ingredients, coenzyme Q10 carries documented interactions. Altogether, these interactions span 198 individual medications.

For each ingredient in Vegan Coenzyme Q10 100 mg with known interactions, here are the types of medications it can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Coenzyme Q10
Alkylating Agents
Coenzyme Q10 has antioxidant effects. Theoretically, this may reduce the activity of chemotherapy drugs that generate free radicals.
Theoretically, antioxidants such as coenzyme Q10 might protect tumor cells from chemotherapeutic agents that work by inducing oxidative stress, such as alkylating agents (e.g., cyclophosphamide) and radiation therapy. The clinical importance of this interaction is unknown.
Warfarin (Coumadin)
Coenzyme Q10 is chemically similar to menaquinone and might have vitamin K-like procoagulant effects, which could decrease the effects of warfarin.
Concomitant use of coenzyme Q10 and warfarin might reduce the anticoagulant effects of warfarin. Four cases of decreased warfarin efficacy thought to be due to coenzyme Q10 have been reported. However, there is some preliminary clinical research that suggests coenzyme Q10 might not significantly decrease the effects of warfarin in patients who have a stable INR.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, coenzyme Q10 might have additive effects with antihypertensive drugs.
Some clinical research shows that coenzyme Q10 can significantly lower blood pressure, although other studies have shown conflicting results.
