Honestly, no interaction on this profile stands out as well established in people. The one worth a mention is with diabetes medications, since animal and lab research suggests blueberry or blueberry leaf extracts might lower blood sugar, which could in theory add to the effect of these drugs. This has not been confirmed in humans, but people whose blood sugar is closely managed may want to be aware of it. Concerns raised for buspirone and flurbiprofen were tested in humans and did not pan out.

Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, blueberries or blueberry leaf extracts might increase the risk of hypoglycemia when taken with antidiabetes drugs.
Animal and in vitro research suggests that blueberry and/or blueberry leaf extracts can lower blood glucose levels.
Buspirone (Buspar)
Theoretically, blueberry juice might increase blood levels of buspirone.
In vitro research shows that blueberry juice can inhibit the metabolism of buspirone, possibly by inhibiting cytochrome P450 3A (CYP3A) enzymes. However, pharmacokinetic research in humans shows that drinking 300 mL of blueberry juice 30 minutes before taking buspirone hydrochloride 10 mg does not significantly affect the concentration or clearance of buspirone.
Flurbiprofen (Ansaid, Others)
Theoretically, blueberry juice might increase blood levels of flurbiprofen.
In vitro research shows that blueberry juice can inhibit the metabolism of flurbiprofen, possibly by inhibiting cytochrome P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) enzymes. However, pharmacokinetic research in humans shows that drinking 300 mL of blueberry juice 30 minutes before taking flurbiprofen 100 mg does not significantly affect the concentration or clearance of flurbiprofen.

Blueberries are a nutritious fruit rich in antioxidants called anthocyanins, and eating them as part of a balanced diet is healthy and safe for most people. Concentrated supplements are marketed for heart, brain, and blood sugar health, but the evidence is mostly early and not strong enough to promise specific benefits. Overview
Blueberries are small, sweet, blue-purple berries that grow on shrubs in the Vaccinium family. They are closely related to cranberries and bilberries. The two most common types are highbush blueberries (often grown commercially) and lowbush or "wild" blueberries. Blueberries grow widely in North America and other temperate regions.
People eat blueberries fresh, frozen, dried, or as juice, and they are popular as a healthy snack. Beyond food, blueberries are sold as supplements such as powders, extract capsules, and concentrated juices, which are marketed for heart health, brain health, and general antioxidant support.
How it works
Blueberries are rich in anthocyanins and other polyphenols. In laboratory and animal studies, these compounds act as antioxidants, meaning they may help reduce a type of cell stress called oxidative stress and may calm inflammation.
Scientists also think blueberry compounds may support the lining of blood vessels and may affect how the body handles sugar. It is important to know that much of this work comes from test-tube and animal research, and effects seen in a lab do not always translate into clear benefits for people.

Safety & precautions
For most people, eating blueberries as food is very safe and healthy. Concentrated supplements and extracts are less studied, so it is harder to be sure about their safety at high doses.
People with allergies to blueberries or related berries should avoid them. If you have a medical condition or take medicine that affects blood sugar or blood clotting, talk with your pharmacist or doctor before using blueberry supplements.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding: Blueberries eaten as a normal part of the diet are considered fine. However, the safety of concentrated blueberry extracts or high-dose supplements during pregnancy or breastfeeding has not been well studied, so it is best to avoid these products or use them only with medical advice.
Side effects
Blueberries as food rarely cause side effects. Eating large amounts may cause mild digestive upset, such as gas, bloating, or loose stools, mostly because of their fiber content.
Allergic reactions are uncommon but possible. Concentrated supplements have not been studied as thoroughly, so their long-term side effects are not fully known. Stop use and seek medical care if you have signs of an allergic reaction, such as rash, swelling, or trouble breathing.

Most Common Adverse Effects:
Orally: Constipation, diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting with freeze-dried blueberries.
Constipation Gastrointestinal
Orally, freeze-dried blueberries may cause constipation, diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting. In one clinical trial, 26% of patients taking freeze-dried blueberries 50 grams daily dropped out in the first week of the study due to gastrointestinal complaints.

Dosing
There is no official standardized dose of blueberry for any health condition. As a food, a typical serving is around a half to one cup of fresh berries, which most people can enjoy daily.
For supplements such as extract capsules, powders, or juices, the right amount varies by product, and a proven medical dose has not been established. Follow the directions on the product label and check with your pharmacist or doctor before starting a concentrated supplement, especially if you have a health condition or take other medicines.
