Dextromethorphan, Guaifenesin, Pseudophedrine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Acacia Rigidula interacts with.
In vitro research shows that BMPEA, an adulterant found in many Acacia rigidula products, strongly inhibits CYP2D6 enzyme.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the concern with this combo cough and cold product. One of its ingredients, dextromethorphan, is cleared from your body mainly by a liver enzyme called CYP2D6. Some Acacia rigidula supplements have been found spiked with a stimulant called BMPEA, and lab studies suggest BMPEA can block that same enzyme. If it's blocked, dextromethorphan can build up, which may mean more dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, or in higher amounts, confusion or a racing feeling.
On top of that, the pseudoephedrine here is already a stimulant, and Acacia rigidula's own stimulant-like amines could pile on, raising blood pressure and heart rate. This is theoretical and based only on lab data, so I don't want to alarm you. Still, please run it by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

In vitro research shows that BMPEA, an adulterant found in many Acacia rigidula products, inhibits CYP3A4 enzyme by 37%.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the situation with your cough and cold combo (Organidin NR or Anatuss DM). Some Acacia rigidula products are spiked with a hidden stimulant called BMPEA, and lab studies suggest it can partly slow down the CYP3A4 enzyme. That enzyme helps your body clear dextromethorphan, so in theory the dextromethorphan could build up a bit, possibly leading to more drowsiness, dizziness, or feeling jittery and unwell.
I'd also point out a separate worry: this supplement and the pseudoephedrine in your product are both stimulants, so together they may push up your heart rate and blood pressure. The enzyme part is only test-tube evidence, not proven in people, but given the safety questions around these products, please check with your pharmacist before combining them.
