Acacia Rigidula and Oxandrolone

We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.

No Known Interaction Found

We did not find a documented interaction between Oxandrolone and Acacia Rigidula in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.

If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.

Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

How we checked

Why No Interaction Is Listed for Oxandrolone

Interactions in our licensed database are recorded against drug classes, not just single drug names. Oxandrolone is filed under a single classification — oral drugs. Acacia Rigidula has documented interactions with 3 drug classes — the most serious being cytochrome p450 2d6 (cyp2d6) substrates (moderate), cytochrome p450 3a4 (cyp3a4) substrates (moderate) and stimulant drugs (moderate) — and none of Oxandrolone’s classifications are among them.

Classification data comes from our licensed Natural Medicines dataset. A medication can belong to classes beyond those recorded there, so this describes how the check was run — it is not a safety guarantee.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Oxandrolone page

“Every supplement known to interact with oxandrolone (Oxandrin, Anavar) works the same basic way: it can change how much of the tablet actually reaches your bloodstream. About Acacia Rigidula

What is Acacia Rigidula?

Acacia Rigidula
  • Weight loss
  • Energy and stimulation
  • Boosting metabolism
  • Appetite control
  • Pre-workout/athletic performance

Acacia rigidula is a shrub from Texas and Mexico that is marketed in weight-loss and energy supplements. There is very little reliable human evidence that it works, and some products have been found to contain an unapproved stimulant drug (BMPEA), which raises real safety concerns. Most people should avoid it and talk to a pharmacist or doctor before trying any product containing it.

An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Acacia Rigidula is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Acacia Rigidula record says about it on its own.

Acacia Rigidula: dosing

There is no established or proven safe dose for Acacia rigidula. Given the safety concerns, many pharmacists would recommend avoiding these products altogether.

About Oxandrolone

What Is Oxandrolone Used For?

Brand names: Oxandrin, Anavar

  • Oxandrolone is used with a diet program to cause weight gain in people who have lost too much weight due to surgery, injury, chronic (long-lasting) infections, trauma, or who are underweight for unknown reasons. Oxandrolone is also used to treat bone pain in people with osteoporosis (a condition in which the bones become thin and weak and break easily) and to prevent certain side effects in people who take corticosteroids (a group of medications used to treat many conditions that involve inflammation or swelling of part of the body) for a long time. Oxandrolone is in a class of medications called androgenic hormones. It works by increasing the amount of protein made by the body. This protein is used to build more muscle and increase body weight.
