No Known Interaction
The bottom line No known interaction

We found no known interaction between Arrowroot and Beclomethasone in our sources. Absence of a documented interaction is not the same as proven safety, and does not guarantee one does not exist. Arrowroot and Beclomethasone

We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.

No Known Interaction Found

We did not find a documented interaction between Beclomethasone and Arrowroot in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.

Worth understanding: our licensed dataset holds no drug-interaction record for Arrowroot at all — not against Beclomethasone, and not against any other medication we track. This verdict therefore rests on the absence of any recorded data, not on research that looked at this combination and found nothing. We cannot rule an interaction out.

If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.

Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

What Arrowroot Itself Has Been Linked To

This is not an interaction — nothing below involves Beclomethasone. It is the side-effect record for Arrowroot on its own, from the licensed Natural Medicines monograph. If something new turns up after you add Arrowroot, this list is the first place to look.

“Orally, arrowroot starch from the root or rhizome is well tolerated when used in the amounts found in foods (12). There is a limited amount of information available about the adverse effects of arrowroot when used in medicinal amounts. In one clinical trial, it was reported to cause dyspepsia, constipation, and dark stools (12,32448).”

Everything above comes from the Natural Medicines adverse-effect record for Arrowroot — expand a row for the licensed statement it rests on. We read the ADVERSE REACTIONS section of Beclomethasone’s FDA label too, and the two lists don’t meaningfully overlap — which is why no Beclomethasone column appears here.

“Most people on beclomethasone (Beclovent, Vanceril) use it daily to keep asthma or nasal allergies quiet, and plenty also take herbal products, which is where this list earns real caution. About Arrowroot

What is Arrowroot?

Arrowroot
  • Diarrhea
  • Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) symptoms
  • Digestive upset
  • Gluten-free thickener/food ingredient
  • Soothing skin and cosmetics

Arrowroot is a starch made from the roots of Maranta arundinacea and is mainly used as a gentle, easy-to-digest thickening agent in food. Some people use it for diarrhea and digestive discomfort, but solid human evidence for these health benefits is limited. As a food it is generally well tolerated, but talk with your pharmacist or doctor before using it to treat a medical condition.

An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Arrowroot is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Arrowroot record says about it on its own.

There is no official or standardized medicinal dose for arrowroot. In cooking, it is used in small amounts as a thickener, and there is no established "therapeutic" dose proven to treat any condition. If you are using a packaged arrowroot product or supplement, follow the directions on the label.

About Beclomethasone Oral Inhalation

What Is Beclomethasone Oral Inhalation Used For?

Brand names: Beclovent, Vanceril

Beclomethasone dipropionate HFA inhalation aerosol (brand: Qvar Redihaler) is used for the ongoing, daily management of asthma in adults and children 5 years of age and older. It is a preventive (maintenance) therapy — not a rescue inhaler — meaning it helps control asthma over time rather than treating sudden symptoms.

Important: Qvar Redihaler is not for the relief of sudden asthma attacks or acute bronchospasm. Always keep a separate fast-acting (rescue) inhaler on hand for those moments.
