This combination pill pairs amitriptyline (an antidepressant) with perphenazine (an antipsychotic), and both already cause a fair amount of drowsiness on their own. Beer adds alcohol on top of that, and the two work in the same direction. Mixing them can really stack up the sedation.

What that looks like in real life: heavier drowsiness, dizziness, trouble concentrating, slowed reflexes, and a higher risk of falls or a dangerous slump in breathing. Alcohol may also slow how your body clears these medicines, so they can hit harder than expected. This is considered a major interaction, so it's worth taking seriously. Please don't change anything on your own. Talk with your pharmacist or doctor about whether any alcohol is safe for you.
