Here's something worth knowing if you're considering berberine alongside acepromazine (Atravet). Acepromazine is a sedative most often used in animals to calm them and as a pre-anesthetic. The concern is simple: berberine may have its own mild sedative or calming effect, so stacking the two could add up. That might mean more drowsiness, deeper sedation, or lower blood pressure than expected.

I'll be honest, this interaction is theoretical and comes only from animal and lab studies, so it's far from certain. Still, since acepromazine is already a strong sedative, it makes sense to be cautious. If this is for a pet, please loop in your veterinarian before combining them, and never adjust a dose on your own.
