Cyclacillin falls under ANTIBIOTIC DRUGS — the group Bifidobacterium Breve interacts with.

Theoretically, taking Bifidobacterium breve with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of B. breve.
Since B. breve preparations usually contain live and active organisms, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and B. breve preparations by at least 2 hours.

Here's the thing to know about pairing a probiotic like Bifidobacterium breve with Cyclacillin, a penicillin-type antibiotic. Cyclacillin's whole job is to kill bacteria, and it doesn't really tell the difference between the bugs making you sick and the friendly ones in your probiotic. So if you swallow them at the same time, the antibiotic can wipe out a good chunk of those live organisms before they ever get a chance to help.

This won't hurt you, and it won't make your Cyclacillin work any worse against your infection. The only downside is that your probiotic may be mostly wasted. A simple fix is to space them out by at least 2 hours. This is based on how these products work rather than hard clinical studies, so it's a reasonable precaution. If you're unsure, your pharmacist can help you set up the timing.
