Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTIBIOTIC DRUGS
Why this applies to Dapsone
Dapsone falls under ANTIBIOTIC DRUGS — the group Bifidobacterium Breve interacts with.
Since B. breve preparations usually contain live and active organisms, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and B. breve preparations by at least 2 hours.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the simple version: this interaction goes the other way around from what people usually worry about. Taking Dapsone won't hurt you because of the probiotic. Instead, the antibiotic part of Dapsone may kill off some of the live Bifidobacterium breve bugs you swallowed, so the probiotic itself may not work as well. Dapsone's own job (treating leprosy or skin infections) and its effects aren't changed here.
The easy fix is timing. Try to space them out by at least 2 hours so the antibiotic doesn't wipe out the probiotic as you take it. This is a theoretical concern based on how things work, not strong proof, so don't stress. If you'd like, run your schedule by your pharmacist.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Dapsone page
“Dapsone treats serious conditions, from dermatitis herpetiformis to leprosy, and its supplement list is one I'd want a patient to read closely rather than skim. Most entries touch how the body handles dapsone through the CYP3A4 enzyme, so grapefruit can raise its blood level while St.”

About Bifidobacterium Breve
What is Bifidobacterium Breve?
- Digestive health and regularity
- Infant colic and gut support
- Diarrhea (including antibiotic-related)
- Constipation
- General immune and gut microbiome support
Bifidobacterium breve is a 'friendly' gut bacterium taken as a probiotic, most often to support digestion and balance the gut microbiome. Some studies suggest possible benefits for certain digestive and infant conditions, but evidence is still limited and varies by strain. It is generally well tolerated in healthy people, but anyone with a weak immune system or serious illness should check with a doctor or pharmacist first.

Brand names: Dapsone, Avlosulfon, Aczone
Dapsone tablets are used to treat dermatitis herpetiformis (a chronic, intensely itchy blistering skin condition) and leprosy (all forms, except where proven resistance to dapsone exists). For leprosy, dapsone tablets are typically used in combination with other anti-leprosy medicines.
