These two interact in 2 distinct ways. Each one is explained separately below.
Why Are There 2 Interactions?
Black Seed interacts with whole categories of medication. Aspirin, Ethoheptazine, Meprobamate falls into 2 of those categories, so it can interact with Black Seed in 2 different ways. We’ve listed each one below — your overall risk is driven by the most serious of them (Moderate).
CNS DEPRESSANTS
1 of 2Why this applies to Aspirin, Ethoheptazine, Meprobamate
Aspirin, Ethoheptazine, Meprobamate falls under CNS DEPRESSANTS — the group Black Seed interacts with.
Animal research suggests that black seed may have CNS depressant effects.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the simple version. Equagesic combines aspirin (a pain reliever), ethoheptazine (a mild pain reliever), and meprobamate, which is a sedative that calms the nervous system. The concern here is with the meprobamate part. Black seed, in animal studies, looks like it might have its own mild calming or sedating effect on the brain. Stack the two together and you could, in theory, feel sleepier than usual, a bit foggy, dizzy, or less coordinated.
I want to be honest with you, though: this is based only on lab and animal research, not human studies, so it's far from proven. Food-amount sprinkles of black seed almost certainly won't matter. Concentrated supplement doses are the bigger question mark. If you want to use a black seed supplement while on Equagesic, just run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.

ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS
2 of 2Aspirin, Ethoheptazine, Meprobamate also falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS.
In vitro and animal research suggests that black seed extract can inhibit platelet aggregation and clotting, and increase bleeding time. In addition, decreased platelet counts have occurred in a human case report and in animal research.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Equagesic is a combination product, and the part that matters here is the aspirin. Aspirin already thins the blood by making platelets less sticky, which is why it can cause bruising, nosebleeds, or stomach upset and bleeding. Black seed seems to work in a similar direction, so pairing the two could, in theory, add up to a higher bleeding risk.
Here's my honest take: this concern comes mostly from lab and animal studies, plus one human case report of low platelets, so it's not strongly proven. Food-amount black seed (as a spice) is unlikely to cause trouble. Concentrated supplement doses are the bigger question mark. Watch for unusual bruising or bleeding, and check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Aspirin, Ethoheptazine, Meprobamate page
“Equagesic combines aspirin with two sedating pain relievers, ethoheptazine and meprobamate, which means supplements can go wrong in two directions at once, and this list earns genuine care before you mix in any of them. Most of the entries add to aspirin's blood-thinning effect and raise bleeding risk, while a large second group deepen…”

About Black Seed
What is Black Seed?
- Respiratory support (asthma, allergies, cough)
- Digestive upset
- Immune support
- Blood sugar and cholesterol support
- General inflammation
Black seed (Nigella sativa) is a traditional spice and remedy that has been studied for asthma, blood sugar, cholesterol, and blood pressure, with early research showing some promise but no firmly proven benefits. It is generally well tolerated in food amounts, but supplement-strength doses are less studied, so talk to your pharmacist or doctor before using it—especially if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or take other medicines.
