Here's the gist with brexanolone (Zulresso): it's given as a continuous IV infusion in a monitored setting for postpartum depression, and one of its known effects is that it can make you drowsy or even cause sudden, deep sleepiness. Black seed isn't activated by brexanolone or vice versa, so this isn't about one speeding up or slowing down the other. The concern is simply additive sleepiness. If black seed nudges your brain in a calming direction, stacking it on top of brexanolone could leave you groggier, dizzier, or harder to rouse.

That said, this is a theoretical flag from animal and lab work, not proven in people. Still, because brexanolone already carries a real sedation risk, mention any black seed supplement to your care team before your infusion.
