Here's the thing to keep in mind with this pairing: the concern runs the other way from what most people expect. It isn't that brewer's yeast changes how clioquinol works. Instead, because some brewer's yeast supplements contain live yeast organisms, an antifungal like clioquinol could theoretically kill off some of those yeast cells and make the supplement a bit less effective. Clioquinol itself, used as a cream for things like athlete's foot or ringworm, should still treat your skin just fine.

Honestly, this is a theoretical, minor concern based on how these products behave, not on real patient reports. A topical cream you rub on your skin and a supplement you swallow rarely cross paths in a meaningful way. Still, if you take brewer's yeast regularly, mention it to your pharmacist so they can confirm it's a good fit for you.
