Here's the gist: brewer's yeast (especially types rich in chromium) may gently lower your blood sugar on its own. Since your bovine insulin is already doing exactly that job, stacking the two together can push your blood sugar lower than you intended. The concern here is hypoglycemia, which can show up as shakiness, sweating, a racing heart, confusion, or feeling lightheaded.

This isn't a reason to panic. The evidence comes from population studies and is rated moderate, so it's worth knowing but not alarming.
