Broccoli Sprout + Dupilumab
Dupilumab brand name: Dupixent.
We found no known interaction between Broccoli Sprout and Dupilumab in our sources. Absence of a documented interaction is not the same as proven safety, and does not guarantee one does not exist. Do not start, stop, or change a medication or supplement based on this page; confirm with your pharmacist or doctor first. Additionally, although there is no interaction, the two are separately associated with some of the same side effects, which would make a new symptom harder to attribute to one or the other.
Broccoli Sprout and Dupilumab
We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.
No Known Interaction Found
We did not find a documented interaction between Dupilumab and Broccoli Sprout in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.
If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.
Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

Broccoli Sprout in Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
When COOKED broccoli sprouts are consumed in amounts commonly found in foods. Broccoli sprout is considered safe for dietary consumption provided the sprouts are grown in accordance with food safety recommendations developed by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and are cooked prior to eating.
When RAW broccoli sprouts are consumed in amounts commonly found in foods. There is evidence that uncooked broccoli sprouts may be contaminated with bacteria, including Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonella, or Escherichia coli O157:H7. Pregnant individuals are particularly susceptible to these food-borne illnesses, and becoming infected can increase the risk of miscarriage, stillbirth, premature birth, or neonatal infection. There is insufficient reliable information available about the safety of broccoli sprout extract during pregnancy or lactation; avoid using.

What Dupilumab Is Prescribed For, and What Broccoli Sprout Has Been Studied For
These two come up together because they touch the same health topic — not because they do the same job. Dupilumab is a prescription medicine with approved uses on its FDA label. Broccoli Sprout is a supplement: what follows is what researchers have looked at it for, and how strong that evidence is.
Dupilumab is prescribed for: Dupixent (dupilumab) injection is approved for several inflammatory conditions. It treats moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (eczema) in patients 6 months and older when topical treatments haven't worked well enough. It is also used as an add-on maintenance treatment for moderate-to-severe asthma (ages 6 and up), chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (ages 12 and up), and COPD with an eosinophilic phenotype in adults. Additionally, Dupixent treats eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE, a chronic inflammatory condition of the esophagus) in patients 1 year and older weighing at least 15 kg, prurigo nodularis (severe itchy skin nodules) in adults, chronic spontaneous urticaria (hives without a clear trigger) in patients 2 and older who haven't responded to antihistamines, bullous pemphigoid (a blistering skin disease) in adults, and allergic fungal rhinosinusitis in patients 6 and older with a history of sinus surgery.

Broccoli Sprout for asthma
Although there has been interest in using oral broccoli sprout extract for asthma, there is insufficient reliable information about the clinical effects of broccoli sprout extract for this purpose.
Effectiveness ratings and the research summaries above are the verbatim record from the Natural Medicines database, which grades evidence from “Effective” down to “Insufficient Reliable Evidence To Rate”. A rating below the top of that scale means researchers have looked at it — not that it works, and never that it can stand in for a prescribed medicine. Do not stop or replace Dupilumab on your own; if you are taking Broccoli Sprout for the same health topic, tell your prescriber, especially if the medicine is being adjusted to a target.

About Broccoli Sprout
What is Broccoli Sprout?
- Antioxidant support
- Detoxification support
- General heart health
- Anti-inflammatory support
- Digestive and gut health
Broccoli sprouts are young broccoli seedlings rich in a compound called sulforaphane, which is being studied for antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and detoxification effects. Early research is promising for some uses, but high-quality human evidence is still limited, so they should be viewed as a healthy food rather than a proven treatment. As food they are generally safe, but talk to your pharmacist or doctor before using concentrated supplements, especially during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Brassica oleracea var. italica · Brassicaceae · Young sprouts (seedlings) of the broccoli plant · Fresh sprouts, powders, capsules, tablets, and standardized extracts (often labeled as containing sulforaphane or glucoraphanin)
An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Broccoli Sprout is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Broccoli Sprout record says about it on its own.
Broccoli Sprout: dosing
There is no official standardized dose for broccoli sprouts or their extracts. Studies have used different forms and amounts, often described by the amount of glucoraphanin or sulforaphane, which makes comparison difficult. If you are eating them as food, a serving as part of a balanced diet is reasonable. If you choose a supplement, follow the directions on the product label and choose a reputable brand.
