No Known Interaction Found

We did not find a documented interaction between Chloramphenicol and Buteyko Breathing Technique in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — research on Buteyko Breathing Technique alongside specific medications may be limited.

Worth understanding: our licensed dataset holds no drug-interaction record for Buteyko Breathing Technique at all — not against Chloramphenicol, and not against any other medication we track. This verdict therefore rests on the absence of any recorded data, not on research that looked at this combination and found nothing. We cannot rule an interaction out.

Buteyko Breathing Technique is a practice rather than something you take. Ask your care team whether the type and intensity you plan to practice are appropriate for your health and treatment. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Chloramphenicol page

“Almost everything on this chloramphenicol list points at the supplement rather than the drug. Chloramphenicol is a powerful antibiotic, usually reserved for serious infections or used as eye drops, and the great majority of entries are probiotics and fermented products such as acidophilus and Bifidobacterium strains.”

About Buteyko Breathing Technique

What is Buteyko Breathing Technique?

  • Asthma symptom control
  • Reducing reliever inhaler use
  • Snoring and mild sleep-disordered breathing
  • Anxiety and stress
  • Chronic hyperventilation or breathlessness

The Buteyko Breathing Technique is a set of breathing exercises that focus on slow, gentle, nasal breathing and reduced breathing volume. Some studies suggest it may help people with asthma feel they have better symptom control and use their reliever inhaler less, but it does not improve lung function and is not a replacement for prescribed asthma medicine. It is generally low-risk, but you should always continue your usual treatment and check with your doctor before making changes.
