Here's the short version on combining Calabar bean with mesoridazine (Serentil). Mesoridazine is an older antipsychotic that, along with calming psychiatric symptoms, has a fair amount of anticholinergic activity. That's the part responsible for side effects like dry mouth, blurred vision, constipation, and feeling drowsy. Calabar bean contains physostigmine, which works in the opposite direction by boosting acetylcholine. So in theory it could partly cancel out, or push against, some of mesoridazine's anticholinergic effects.

That said, this is a theoretical concern based on how the chemicals behave, not on real-world reports, and it's rated minor and unlikely. The bigger issue is that Calabar bean itself is genuinely poisonous and not safe to take. Please don't use it, and bring any supplement questions to your doctor or pharmacist first.
