Aspirin, Caffeine, Dihydrocodeine Bitartrate falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Chokeberry interacts with.
In vitro research shows that chokeberry inhibits CYP3A4. In humans, there is one case report of a drug interaction with trabectedin, a CYP3A4 substrate, which is hypothesized to have been caused by chokeberry inhibition of CYP3A4.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the thing with this combo pill (Synalgos DC). The dihydrocodeine part leans on a liver enzyme called CYP3A4 to be processed. In test-tube studies, chokeberry seems to slow that enzyme down a bit. If that happened in your body, the painkiller could linger a little longer, which in theory might mean more drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, or slowed breathing, especially at higher doses.
But I want to keep this in perspective. This is very weak, mostly lab-based evidence, with just one human case report involving a totally different drug. Eating chokeberry as juice or jam is unlikely to cause trouble. Concentrated supplements are the bigger question mark. If you take or are considering them, just check with your pharmacist or doctor first.

Clinical and in vitro research suggests that chokeberry extract can temporarily inhibit platelet aggregation and decrease clot formation.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the piece to keep an eye on with Synalgos DC: it contains aspirin, which already thins the blood a bit by keeping platelets from clumping together. Chokeberry's polyphenols appear to do something similar, gently slowing platelet activity in lab and small human studies. Stack the two and you may nudge your bleeding risk a little higher than aspirin alone.
In real life that could show up as easier bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or a cut that takes longer to stop. The evidence here is still fairly modest, and a little chokeberry juice or jam with food is unlikely to cause trouble. Concentrated extract supplements are where I'd be more cautious. If you take Synalgos DC regularly, just run the chokeberry product past your pharmacist or doctor first.
