Glipizide, Metformin falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Chokeberry interacts with.

Theoretically, chokeberry might increase the risk of hypoglycemia when taken with antidiabetes drugs.
Some clinical research shows that chokeberry decreases levels of blood glucose in some patients with diabetes. However, other clinical research suggests that chokeberry has no significant effect on blood glucose levels.

Here's the simple version: your Metaglip combines two diabetes medicines, glipizide and metformin, and both work to lower your blood sugar. Glipizide especially pushes your body to release more insulin. Some studies hint that chokeberry may nudge blood sugar down a little on its own, though other studies found no real effect. So the worry is mainly about adding two blood-sugar-lowering helpers together.

If your sugar drops too low, you might feel shaky, sweaty, dizzy, confused, or unusually hungry. This is more of a theoretical, possible concern than a proven one, and a handful of chokeberry berries or a little juice is unlikely to matter. Concentrated supplements are where I'd be more careful. Before adding one, check with your pharmacist or doctor and keep an eye on your readings.
