Solifenacin succinate falls under ANTICHOLINERGIC DRUGS — the group Clubmoss interacts with.

Evidence from in vitro research suggests that clubmoss extract can inhibit acetylcholinesterase activity. Theoretically, concurrent use of anticholinergic drugs and clubmoss might decrease the effectiveness of club moss or the anticholinergic agent. Some anticholinergic drugs include atropine, benztropine (Cogentin), biperiden (Akineton), procyclidine (Kemadrin), and trihexyphenidyl (Artane).

Here's the simple version. Your Vesicare works by blocking a nerve signal (acetylcholine) so your bladder muscle relaxes and stops squeezing so much. Clubmoss seems to push in the opposite direction. In lab dish studies, it slows down the enzyme that breaks down acetylcholine, which means more of that signal hangs around. So in theory, the two could partly cancel each other out, and you might notice your overactive bladder symptoms (urgency, frequent trips to the bathroom) creeping back.

I want to be honest with you though: this is based only on test-tube research, not real people, so it's more of a maybe than a sure thing. Clubmoss also contains some toxic compounds, so I'd be cautious with it regardless. Before mixing the two, please check with your pharmacist or doctor.

What Is Solifenacin Used For?

Brand name: Vesicare

Solifenacin tablets (including the brands solifenacin succinate and VESIcare) are approved for adults with overactive bladder — specifically the symptoms of sudden urges to urinate, leaking urine due to those urges (urge urinary incontinence), and needing to urinate very frequently.

VESIcare LS oral suspension is approved for a different use: treating neurogenic detrusor overactivity (NDO) — a bladder control problem caused by nerve damage or a nervous system condition — in children aged 2 years and older. This liquid formulation is dosed by the child's weight.
