Muraglitazar is an experimental diabetes medicine (a PPAR agonist) designed to lower blood sugar. The concern here is simple: coconut, mainly in concentrated forms like coconut milk, might nudge blood sugar down a little on its own. If that gentle effect stacks on top of a sugar-lowering drug, the theory is your levels could dip a touch lower than expected.

I want to be straight with you, though. This is based only on early animal research, the interaction is rated minor and unlikely, and a slice of coconut or a splash in your coffee is very unlikely to matter. If you regularly use large or medicinal amounts, just keep an eye out for low-sugar signs (shakiness, sweating, lightheadedness) and check with your doctor or pharmacist.
