Corzide combines two blood pressure medicines: nadolol (a beta-blocker) and bendroflumethiazide (a water pill). Their whole job is to keep your blood pressure in a healthy range. The concern here is that taking large amounts of coltsfoot might work against that control, possibly leaving your numbers higher than you and your doctor want. To be clear, this is a theoretical worry backed only by anecdotal reports, not solid studies, so for most people it's a small risk.

My bigger concern with coltsfoot is the herb itself. Raw forms can contain liver-damaging compounds, so I'd steer clear unless a product is certified free of them. Before adding it, please check with your pharmacist or doctor, and keep an eye on your home blood pressure readings.

Coltsfoot is a traditional herb long used to soothe coughs and clear mucus, but solid human evidence for these uses is lacking.
