Here's the quick version: Guanadrel (Hylorel) is a blood pressure medicine that works by lowering the activity of certain nerves, which relaxes your blood vessels and brings your pressure down. The concern with coltsfoot is mostly theoretical, and it's based on weak, anecdotal reports rather than solid human studies. The idea is that large amounts of coltsfoot could nudge your blood pressure or heart rhythm in a way that works against your guanadrel.

In plain terms, this isn't a strong or well-proven interaction, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. The bigger issue with coltsfoot is that the raw plant can harm your liver. I'd skip it unless it's certified free of those compounds, and check with your pharmacist or doctor first.

Coltsfoot is a traditional herb long used to soothe coughs and clear mucus, but solid human evidence for these uses is lacking.
