Inderide combines two blood pressure medicines: hydrochlorothiazide (a water pill) and propranolol (a beta blocker that slows your heart and relaxes your blood pressure). The concern here is mostly theoretical and based only on scattered anecdotal reports, not solid studies. The idea is that large, concentrated doses of coltsfoot might work against your blood pressure treatment, making it less effective and possibly leaving your numbers higher than you and your doctor want.

Honestly, my bigger worry with coltsfoot is the plant itself. Raw coltsfoot can contain liver-toxic compounds, so I'd steer clear unless a product is certified free of them. Before adding any herbal cough remedy, please run it by your pharmacist or doctor so they can keep an eye on your blood pressure and your liver.
