Here's the simple version: kinkeliba tea appears to lower blood pressure a little on its own. Benazepril (Lotensin) is already doing that job for you, so drinking this tea regularly could stack the two effects and push your blood pressure down further than intended.

If that happens, you might feel lightheaded, dizzy, or unusually tired, especially when standing up quickly. The evidence here is fairly limited and the effect is more of a theoretical concern than a proven danger, so I don't want you to panic. An occasional cup is unlikely to cause trouble, but a daily habit is worth mentioning. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, and let them know if you notice dizziness.

Benazepril — sold as Lotensin and under its generic names Benazepril and Benazepril Hydrochloride — is approved to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of serious events like stroke and heart attack.
