Your combo pill (Juvisync) pairs sitagliptin, which lowers blood sugar, with simvastatin, a cholesterol medicine. The piece that matters here is the sitagliptin side. Kinkeliba tea has shown some blood-sugar-lowering activity in early human and animal studies, so layering it on top of a diabetes drug could, in theory, push your sugar a little too low.

If that happened, you might feel shaky, sweaty, dizzy, irritable, or get a sudden headache. To be clear, this is theoretical and based on weak evidence, so it isn't a strong, proven interaction. The simvastatin part isn't really involved. If you'd like to enjoy the tea, just check in with your pharmacist or doctor first and keep an eye on your glucose readings.
