Metformin, Rosiglitazone falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Dragon Fruit interacts with.

Dragon fruit might lower blood glucose levels. Theoretically, it might have additive effects when used with antidiabetes drugs. This might increase the risk of hypoglycemia in some patients. Dose adjustments to diabetes medications might be necessary.

Avandamet pairs two diabetes medicines, metformin and rosiglitazone, that already work to bring your blood sugar down. Dragon fruit may have a mild blood-sugar-lowering effect of its own, so stacking the two could nudge your glucose a little lower than the medication alone. The concern here is mainly an additive effect, not a change in how your body breaks down the drug.

For most people, enjoying dragon fruit as a regular food is unlikely to cause trouble, and the evidence behind this is fairly limited. Larger or concentrated supplement amounts are more likely to matter. If you notice signs of low sugar like shakiness, sweating, or dizziness, check your levels and let your pharmacist or doctor know before changing anything.
