Here's the short version: inhaled insulin (Exubera) already does one big job, it pulls your blood sugar down. Elderflower may nudge blood sugar a little lower too, at least based on early lab work. Stacked together, the worry is that your sugar could dip too far, which we call hypoglycemia. With insulin, that can show up as shakiness, sweating, a racing heart, confusion, or feeling lightheaded.

I want to be honest about the evidence though: this is theoretical, coming from test-tube studies, not real people. A cup of elderflower tea is unlikely to cause trouble. Concentrated extracts are more of a question mark. If you'd like to use it, just check your blood sugar a bit more closely at first, and run it by your pharmacist or doctor before starting.
