Janumet combines two diabetes medicines, metformin and sitagliptin, that both work to bring your blood sugar down. The idea here is simple: elderflower may have a mild blood-sugar-lowering effect of its own, so stacking it on top of your medication could, in theory, push your numbers lower than expected.

I want to be honest about the evidence though. This concern comes only from lab studies, not from real people, so it's more of a 'keep an eye out' than a red alert. If you do enjoy elderflower regularly, just watch for signs of low blood sugar like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, or feeling foggy, and check your levels a bit more often. Before adding any concentrated elderflower supplement, run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.
