Here's the gist: insulin lispro already does the heavy lifting of lowering your blood sugar at mealtimes. Elderflower may have a mild blood sugar lowering effect of its own, so stacking the two together could, in theory, push your numbers a little lower than you expect. That might show up as shakiness, sweating, dizziness, confusion, or a fast heartbeat, which are the classic signs of low blood sugar.

I'll be honest with you though, this concern comes only from lab and animal studies, not from people, so it's pretty theoretical. A cup of elderflower tea is unlikely to cause trouble. If you're using concentrated extracts regularly, just check your glucose a bit more closely and let your doctor or pharmacist know what you're taking.

What Is Insulin Lispro Injection Used For?

Brand names: Admelog, Admelog Solostar

Insulin lispro injection is used to improve glycemic control (blood sugar management) in people with diabetes mellitus. It is a rapid-acting insulin analog approved for use in both type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

Admelog is specifically indicated to improve glycemic control in patients with diabetes mellitus. Humalog Mix75/25 is indicated to improve glycemic control in adults with diabetes mellitus; it is a fixed-ratio mixture of insulin lispro and insulin lispro protamine, and its fixed proportions do not allow for separate adjustment of basal (background) and prandial (mealtime) doses.
