Here is the short version: any concern here is mostly theoretical. The only signal we have comes from animal studies suggesting that breathing in eucalyptol (the main compound in eucalyptus oil) might lower the blood levels of amphetamines like the active form of Vyvanse. If that held true in people, it could mean your Vyvanse works a little less well, so you might notice your usual focus and attention control slipping a bit, or symptoms creeping back during the day.

That said, this is weak, lab-and-animal evidence, not something proven in patients. Occasional use of a vapor rub or eucalyptus lozenge for a cold is very unlikely to throw off your treatment. If you ever feel your medication isn't doing its job, don't adjust your dose on your own. Just have a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor.

It is not approved or recommended for weight loss, and its safety and effectiveness for treating obesity have not been established. It is not recommended in children under 6 years old.
