Danaparoid falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Forsythia interacts with.

Theoretically, taking forsythia with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs might increase the risk of bleeding due to decreased platelet aggregation. Forsythia might reduce platelet aggregation by inhibiting platelet activating factor. Some of these drugs include aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix), dalteparin (Fragmin), enoxaparin (Lovenox), heparin, ticlopidine (Ticlid), warfarin (Coumadin), and others.

Danaparoid (Orgaran) is an injectable blood thinner. It works by slowing your body's clotting process, which lowers the chance of dangerous clots. Forsythia, an herb used in cold and flu remedies, may have a mild effect on your platelets (the tiny cells that help blood clump and stop bleeding) by blocking a signal called platelet activating factor.

The concern here is that pairing the two could, in theory, add up and make bleeding a little more likely. With danaparoid that might look like easier bruising, longer bleeding from small cuts, nosebleeds, or pink-tinged urine. I want to be honest though: this is theoretical and comes only from lab and animal data, so a real problem is unlikely. Still, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
