ANTIDIABETES DRUGS
Why this applies to Insulin Aspart
Insulin Aspart falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Galbanum interacts with.
In an animal diabetic model, galbanum resin reduces levels of fasting blood glucose at doses of 100 mg/kg, but not 400 mg/kg. This has not been shown in human research.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the basic idea with insulin aspart (Fiasp) and galbanum. Insulin already does the heavy lifting of pushing your blood sugar down. In one animal study, galbanum resin lowered fasting blood sugar a bit on its own. So in theory, stacking it on top of your insulin could nudge your sugar lower than expected, raising the chance of a low (hypoglycemia). That can show up as shakiness, sweating, a fast heartbeat, confusion, or even passing out if it drops too far.
I want to be honest though: this is only lab and animal data, and it hasn't been proven in people, so the real-world risk is uncertain. If you do try galbanum, check your sugars a little more closely and let your pharmacist or doctor know before starting. Don't change your insulin on your own.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Insulin Aspart page
“Every one of the 239 supplements listed for insulin aspart (Fiasp) touches the same thing the drug exists to manage, blood sugar, so this list warrants genuine care rather than a quick skim. Most entries add to insulin's glucose-lowering effect, raising the risk of hypoglycemia, and with a rapid-acting mealtime insulin a low can become…”

About Galbanum
What is Galbanum?
- Aromatherapy and fragrance
- Digestive complaints
- Coughs and chest congestion
- Skin and wound care (traditional)
- Antimicrobial (traditional)
Galbanum is an aromatic gum resin from a Ferula plant, used mostly in perfumes, incense, and traditional remedies. There is very little solid human research to support any medical use, so it is best thought of as a fragrance and folk remedy rather than a proven treatment. If you want to use it for health reasons, talk with your pharmacist or doctor first.
About Insulin Aspart (rDNA Origin) Injection
What Is Insulin Aspart (rDNA Origin) Injection Used For?
Brand name: Fiasp
Insulin aspart is used to improve blood sugar (glucose) control in people with diabetes mellitus. It is approved for both type 1 and type 2 diabetes in adults, and for diabetes mellitus in pediatric patients.
Insulin Aspart Protamine and Insulin Aspart Mix 70/30 is a pre-mixed product that combines a rapid-acting and an intermediate-acting insulin aspart. It is approved to improve blood sugar control in adult patients with diabetes mellitus. It is not recommended for treating diabetic ketoacidosis, and because its ratio of rapid-acting to intermediate-acting insulin is fixed, it does not allow for separate mealtime versus background dose adjustments.
