Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTIDIABETES DRUGS
Why this applies to Insulin Lispro
Insulin Lispro falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Galbanum interacts with.
In an animal diabetic model, galbanum resin reduces levels of fasting blood glucose at doses of 100 mg/kg, but not 400 mg/kg. This has not been shown in human research.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist with insulin lispro and galbanum: insulin already does the heavy lifting of lowering your blood sugar, and there's a theory that galbanum might nudge your sugar down a little too. Stack those two together and, in theory, you could end up lower than you intended. We call that hypoglycemia, and signs include shakiness, sweating, a racing heart, dizziness, confusion, or feeling suddenly hungry.
That said, I want to keep this in perspective. The only hint of a glucose-lowering effect comes from an animal study, and it didn't even hold up at higher doses. There's no human evidence here, so this is more theoretical than proven. Still, since insulin is potent, it's worth mentioning to your pharmacist or doctor before adding galbanum, and keep checking your sugars if you do.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Insulin Lispro page
“Blood sugar is the entire subject of this list. Insulin lispro (Admelog) is a rapid mealtime insulin dosed to bring glucose down after eating, and the supplements below can shove that same number around, most of them downward, which risks a genuine low.”

About Galbanum
What is Galbanum?
- Aromatherapy and fragrance
- Digestive complaints
- Coughs and chest congestion
- Skin and wound care (traditional)
- Antimicrobial (traditional)
Galbanum is an aromatic gum resin from a Ferula plant, used mostly in perfumes, incense, and traditional remedies. There is very little solid human research to support any medical use, so it is best thought of as a fragrance and folk remedy rather than a proven treatment. If you want to use it for health reasons, talk with your pharmacist or doctor first.
About Insulin Lispro Injection
What Is Insulin Lispro Injection Used For?

Admelog is specifically indicated to improve glycemic control in patients with diabetes mellitus.
