IMMUNOSUPPRESSANTS
Why this applies to Daclizumab
Daclizumab falls under IMMUNOSUPPRESSANTS — the group Glyconutrients interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the basic idea with daclizumab: it's an immune-calming medicine that works by dialing down certain immune cells to reduce nerve inflammation in MS. Glyconutrients, on the other hand, are marketed to rev up parts of the immune system. So in theory they pull in opposite directions, and the worry is that glyconutrients could blunt how well daclizumab keeps your MS quiet, possibly leading to more flare-ups.
I want to be straight with you though: this concern comes only from lab (test-tube) studies, not real patients, so it's theoretical. It isn't proven to happen in people. Since daclizumab is a serious medicine used after other treatments fail, I'd skip relying on glyconutrients and run any supplement past your neurologist or pharmacist first.

About Glyconutrients
What is Glyconutrients?
- General immune support
- Overall wellness and energy
- Cognitive or memory support
- Inflammation
- Digestive health
Glyconutrients are supplements containing certain sugar molecules (monosaccharides) that marketers claim are essential for cell communication and health. The science behind most health claims is weak and largely promotional, and your body already makes these sugars from a normal diet. They are generally low-risk, but talk to your pharmacist or doctor before using them, and don't rely on them to treat any disease.
