IMMUNOSUPPRESSANTS
Why this applies to Epcoritamab-bysp
Epcoritamab-bysp falls under IMMUNOSUPPRESSANTS — the group Glyconutrients interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the thinking on this one. Epcoritamab (Epkinly) is a bispecific antibody used for certain lymphomas. It works by pulling your own T immune cells over to attack cancer cells, so in a sense it partly relies on an active immune response. Glyconutrients are marketed as things that stimulate immune activity, so the concern in the database is that they could theoretically nudge the immune system in a way that interferes with how these medicines are meant to work. This is theoretical only, based on lab research, not real patient cases.
Honestly, the evidence here is thin, and glyconutrients aren't proven to do much either way. Still, since Epkinly is serious cancer treatment (with real risks like cytokine release, infection, and low blood counts), I'd loop in your oncology team before adding any supplement rather than guessing.

About Glyconutrients
What is Glyconutrients?
- General immune support
- Overall wellness and energy
- Cognitive or memory support
- Inflammation
- Digestive health
Glyconutrients are supplements containing certain sugar molecules (monosaccharides) that marketers claim are essential for cell communication and health. The science behind most health claims is weak and largely promotional, and your body already makes these sugars from a normal diet. They are generally low-risk, but talk to your pharmacist or doctor before using them, and don't rely on them to treat any disease.
