Theoretically, guggul might reduce the effects of CYP3A4 substrates.

Here's the gist for your Aristada shots. Your body uses a liver enzyme called CYP3A4 to clear aripiprazole. Lab studies hint that guggul (specifically the guggulsterones in it) may speed up that enzyme. If that happens in real life, your body could break down the aripiprazole a little faster than usual, which might mean a weaker effect from the medication. With schizophrenia or bipolar treatment, that could show up as symptoms creeping back, like mood changes or returning unusual thoughts.

I want to be honest though: this is only based on test-tube research, so it's more of a theoretical concern than a proven problem. Since these injections are meant to keep your levels steady, I'd loop in your pharmacist or doctor before adding guggul. Please don't change anything on your own.
