Hydrocodone falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Hu Zhang interacts with.

Theoretically, hu zhang might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
Hu zhang contains the constituent resveratrol. In vitro research shows that resveratrol might inhibit the CYP3A4 enzyme. However, a clinical study in adults with NAFLD found that adding resveratrol 3000 mg daily for 8 weeks did not necessitate dose adjustments to any established medications metabolized by CYP3A4.

Here's the gist for hydrocodone. Your liver uses an enzyme called CYP3A4 to help break this opioid down. On paper, the resveratrol in Hu Zhang might slow that enzyme a bit, which could let hydrocodone build up slightly. If that happened, you might notice more of the usual opioid effects: extra drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, or in a bigger picture, slowed breathing.

That said, this is a theoretical concern drawn from lab studies, not something proven in real patients. In fact, one human study using high-dose resveratrol didn't require any medication changes. I wouldn't panic, but since hydrocodone is a strong opioid, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining the two.
