Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
P-GLYCOPROTEIN SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Apomorphine Hydrochloride
Apomorphine Hydrochloride falls under P-GLYCOPROTEIN SUBSTRATES — the group Indian Long Pepper interacts with.
In vitro research shows that piperine, a constituent of Indian long pepper, can inhibit P-glycoprotein.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist with your Kynmobi (apomorphine) and Indian long pepper. The piperine in this spice can block a cellular pump called P-glycoprotein, which is one of the gatekeepers that helps move certain drugs around and out of the body. In a test-tube setting, blocking that pump could let a little more apomorphine stick around than usual. In plain terms, that might mean a slightly stronger dose effect, so think more nausea, dizziness, sleepiness, lightheadedness when you stand up, or unwanted extra movements.
I want to be honest about the strength of evidence here, though. This is theoretical, based on lab research, not real-world cases. A pinch in cooking is unlikely to matter. Concentrated daily supplements are where I'd pause. Just give your pharmacist or doctor a heads-up before mixing them.
