Here's the gist with Jentadueto XR (which combines linagliptin and metformin) plus inulin fiber: on paper, inulin might give your blood sugar a small extra nudge downward. That's because some studies suggest this prebiotic fiber can modestly improve blood sugar control on its own. Stacked with diabetes medicine, the theoretical worry is a slightly higher chance of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), which can show up as shakiness, sweating, dizziness, or feeling foggy.

That said, this is rated a minor and unlikely interaction based on theory, not strong proof. There's no enzyme problem here, and food amounts of inulin are very unlikely to matter. Practically, inulin's most common effect is gas and bloating. If you start a fiber supplement, just keep an eye on your sugar readings and chat with your pharmacist or doctor first.
