Here's the simple version: ivy gourd may lower your blood sugar on its own, and Trulicity (dulaglutide) is already working hard to do the same thing. Stack the two together and the effects can add up, which means your blood sugar could drop lower than you want. This isn't ivy gourd changing how your body handles the medicine, it's just two blood-sugar-lowering tools pulling in the same direction.

If your sugar runs too low, you might feel shaky, sweaty, dizzy, confused, or unusually hungry. The good news is this is manageable. The evidence here is solid, so it's worth taking seriously, but it doesn't mean you can't use both. Check your blood sugar more closely and talk with your pharmacist or doctor before adding ivy gourd, especially as a concentrated supplement rather than just food.

What Is Dulaglutide Injection Used For?

Brand name: Trulicity

Trulicity (dulaglutide) injection is used alongside diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults and children 10 years and older with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is not for type 1 diabetes.

Trulicity is also used in adults with type 2 diabetes who have established cardiovascular disease or multiple cardiovascular risk factors to lower the risk of major heart events — specifically cardiovascular death, non-fatal heart attack, or non-fatal stroke.
