Here's the simple version with Vimovo, which combines esomeprazole (a stomach acid reducer) and naproxen (an anti-inflammatory pain reliever). Karaya gum is a bulk-forming fiber. When it swells into a gel in your gut, it can physically trap pills and slow or lower how much medicine your body absorbs. This is a theoretical concern based on how fibers behave, not something proven to cause real problems with this combo, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it.

Still, an easy fix keeps things clean: take your Vimovo first, then wait about 30 to 60 minutes before your karaya gum. That helps you get the full acid-protection and pain relief you expect. Always run new supplements by your pharmacist or doctor.
