Acetaminophen, Butalbital falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Khella interacts with.

Theoretically, khella might have additive adverse effects on the liver when used with hepatotoxic drugs. Khella can increase liver transaminases. Some drugs that can adversely affect the liver include acetaminophen (Tylenol), amiodarone (Cordarone), carbamazepine (Tegretol), isoniazid (INH), methotrexate (Rheumatrex), methyldopa (Aldomet), and many others.

Here's the concern with combining khella and these acetaminophen and butalbital products (like Esgic or Phrenilin Forte). The acetaminophen part is already known to be hard on the liver if you take too much. Khella, on its own, has been shown in some studies to raise liver enzymes, which is a sign the liver is being stressed. Put them together and the worry is that the strain on your liver could add up.

This is still mostly a theoretical concern, so I don't want to alarm you. But because acetaminophen and liver health go hand in hand, it's worth running this combo past your pharmacist or doctor before you start, especially if you drink alcohol or already have liver issues.
