Eletriptan falls under SEROTONERGIC DRUGS — the group Kratom interacts with.

Theoretically, taking kratom in combination with serotonergic drugs may increase levels of serotonin, increasing the risk of serotonin syndrome.
A 63-year-old male presented with possible serotonin syndrome after taking an unknown dose of kratom for up to 3 months along with serotonergic prescription medications bupropion, buspirone, desvenlafaxine, trazodone, and ziprasidone. It was hypothesized that kratom inhibited the cytochrome P450 3A4-, 2C9-, 2D6-, and 1A2-mediated metabolism of several of these serotonergic medications, consequently increasing systemic exposure to serotonin.

Here's the deal with mixing kratom and your migraine medicine, eletriptan (Relpax). Eletriptan works on serotonin pathways in the brain to ease a migraine, and kratom can nudge serotonin activity too. When you stack two things that push serotonin in the same direction, there's a theoretical chance of building up too much, which we call serotonin syndrome. Watch for things like agitation, a racing heart, sweating, shivering, muscle twitching, or feeling confused.

I'll be honest with you: this concern is based mostly on theory and a single case report, not strong proof, so I don't want to scare you. Eletriptan is also cleared by an enzyme (CYP3A4) that kratom may slow, which could raise drug levels. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining these.

Eletriptan tablets — sold as Relpax, Eletriptan HBR, and Eletriptan Hydrobromide — are taken at the onset of a migraine to relieve the headache and associated symptoms. They are meant to treat an attack that is already happening, not to prevent future migraines.

Eletriptan is only appropriate when a clear migraine diagnosis has been confirmed by a healthcare provider. It is not approved for cluster headaches, and its use in those cases has not been studied.
