Here's the gist with Avandamet (which combines metformin and rosiglitazone) alongside kudzu. This isn't about kudzu changing your blood sugar control or how the medicine works. The concern is purely about the liver. Rosiglitazone, like other drugs in its class, can occasionally stress liver enzymes, and there's some early worry that kudzu might do the same. Put them together and, in theory, those effects could add up.

I want to be honest: this is theoretical, based on how each one behaves, not on real cases stacking up. Most people won't notice anything. Still, watch for signs like unusual tiredness, yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, or right-side belly pain, and check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding kudzu.

Avandamet combines two diabetes medicines, metformin and rosiglitazone, that both work to lower your blood sugar. The idea here is pretty simple: kudzu may have a mild blood-sugar-lowering effect of its own, so stacking it on top of these drugs could nudge your levels a little lower than expected. If that happened, you might notice signs of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, hunger, or feeling foggy.

That said, I don't want to overstate this. The concern is mostly theoretical and comes from lab and animal work, not from real-world cases. For most people it's unlikely to cause trouble. Still, if you decide to try kudzu, keep an eye on your readings and check with your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.
