Here's the simple version. The aspirin part of your aspirin with codeine works by making your platelets less sticky, which keeps blood from clotting as easily. L-arginine may do a little something similar. Early lab-type research hints it can also make platelets clump together less, so putting the two together might add up and nudge your bleeding risk a bit higher.

I want to be honest about how shaky this is. It's a theoretical concern based on how these things work, not proven in real patients, so don't panic. Just keep an eye out for easy bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or stomach upset from the aspirin. If you notice any of that, or you're on other blood thinners, check in with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
