Why this applies to Oxacillin
Oxacillin falls under ANTIBIOTIC DRUGS — the group Lactobacillus Helveticus interacts with.
Lactobacillus helveticus preparations usually contain live and active organisms. Therefore, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and L. helveticus preparations by at least two hours.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the thing to keep in mind: oxacillin is a penicillin antibiotic, and its whole job is to kill bacteria. The probiotic Lactobacillus helveticus is itself made of live, friendly bacteria. So when you take them at the same time, the antibiotic doesn't know the difference and can wipe out a good chunk of those probiotic organisms before they ever get to work. This doesn't make your oxacillin less effective or more risky, it just means you may not get much benefit from the probiotic.
The simple fix is timing. Try to space them out by at least a couple of hours so the antibiotic isn't sitting in your system killing the probiotic. This is more of a theoretical, common-sense concern than a dangerous one, but it's worth running by your pharmacist or doctor.

Lactobacillus helveticus is a lactic acid bacterium used as a probiotic, often combined with other strains in mood, gut, and general wellness products. Early research is interesting—especially for stress and mood and for fermented-milk peptides and blood pressure—but evidence is still limited and not conclusive. What Is Oxacillin Injection Used For?

Oxacillin Injection is used to treat infections caused by staphylococci (staph bacteria) that produce an enzyme called penicillinase — meaning they can break down ordinary penicillin. It targets these resistant staph strains specifically.
It can also be started right away when a resistant staph infection is strongly suspected, even before lab results confirm it. If lab tests later show the infection is caused by a different organism — or one that regular penicillin G would cover — treatment should be switched to a more appropriate antibiotic.
