Dr. Brian Staiger explains PharmD, Clinical Pharmacist

Here's the gist for Tivdak (tisotumab vedotin). This is an antibody-drug conjugate given by IV during cancer treatment. Once inside the body, it releases a small toxic payload (MMAE) that is broken down partly by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. Lab and animal studies hint that lemongrass, and its lemony compound citral, may slow that same enzyme down. In theory, that could let a bit more of the active payload linger, which might mean more of the usual side effects like nerve tingling or numbness, fatigue, low blood counts, or eye irritation.

I want to be honest with you: this is only a theoretical concern from test-tube and animal data, not proven in people, and the tiny amounts of lemongrass used in food or tea are unlikely to matter. Still, since you're on cancer therapy, please run any concentrated lemongrass supplement or essential oil past your oncology team first.
