Here's the simple version: marshmallow root is loaded with mucilage, a slippery, gel-like fiber. The thinking is that this gel could coat your stomach and gut, possibly slowing or reducing how much tadalafil (Cialis) you absorb. If less drug gets in, you might notice a weaker effect, like a less reliable erection or less relief from those enlarged-prostate urinary symptoms.

I want to be honest, though: this is a theoretical concern based on how mucilage behaves, not something proven in real patients, and it's rated as minor. An easy fix is timing. Take your tadalafil first, then wait about 30 to 60 minutes before using marshmallow. If you have questions about your specific routine, your pharmacist is happy to help.

Evidence for these uses is mostly traditional and preliminary, but it is generally considered gentle and well-tolerated for short-term use. About Tadalafil

What Is Tadalafil Used For?

Brand names: Cialis, Tadliq

Tadalafil tablets (including Cialis and generic tadalafil) are used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED), the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH — an enlarged prostate), or both conditions together. When used with the drug finasteride to start BPH treatment, this combination is recommended for up to 26 weeks.

Adcirca, Alyq (tablets), and Tadliq (oral suspension) are indicated specifically for pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH — high blood pressure in the lungs), to improve the ability to exercise.
